2014 Chevy SS Convenience and Safety Features
The Chevrolet SS features a color head-up display right on your windshield, allowing you to view information such as vehicle speed, tachometer, turn signal indicators, selected gear, and more without having to look away from the road. The SS also comes standard with a Bose® Premium Sound System and Chevrolet MyLink with a color touch-screen and navigation. And you can park “hands-free” with the SS’s Automatic Parking Assist, which helps the SS steer itself into any suitable reverse parallel or reverse angle parking space. The Chevy SS also features some really great safety systems, including Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Vision Camera with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which alerts you with chimes to objects behind you that may not be visible.
2014 Chevrolet SS Performance Features
The Chevy SS is powered by a small block 6.2L V8 engine that should deliver 415 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, with an estimated 0-60mph time of 5 seconds. The SS features a 6-speed automatic transmission, which gives you the advantage of one-touch shifting between automatic and manual mode by utilizing TAPshift® technology, allowing you to experience the hands-on driving satisfaction of a manual, with the ease of an automatic. The front suspension on the Chevy SS is a MacPherson strut-based multilink system with direct stabilizer bar. The rear suspension of the SS is a multi-link independent system with coil-over shock absorbers and decoupled stabilizer bar. And to help keep you in control and on the road the SS comes standard with StabiliTrack® Electronic Stability Control, which automatically intervenes when it senses understeer, oversteer, or loss of lateral traction. The system will apply brake pressure and adjust engine torque until you are back in control and on track.
