We're making it easy for you and eligible family members* to save on an eligible, new GM vehicle with Preferred Pricing and the Employee Vehicle Allowance (EVA). The process to get an authorization number is simple. So get your savings started! Sign in at the left and follow the prompts.
New Vehicle PurchaseAll 2012 and 2013 GM cars, SUVs, crossovers and light-duty trucks are eligible for the Credit Union Member Discount from GM .
Who is eligible to participate in the discount program?
Members of participating credit unions are eligible for the Credit Union Member Discount from GM. An eligible credit union member must present a copy of the loan document used to purchase the vehicle, membership card or current statement from his/her participating credit union at the time of purchase.

How has the discount pricing changed?
The employee and supplier discount programs now share the same formula price called Preferred Pricing. Employees, retirees and eligible family members may be able to reduce this price further by deducting an exclusive new component called the Employee Vehicle Allowance (EVA). As in the past, you can also take advantage of most current incentives and available bonus cash
What is the Employee Vehicle Allowance (EVA)?
EVA gives you additional savings on nearly every eligible, new GM vehicle. It will be reviewed periodically and adjusted based on market conditions. View current EVA amounts

What is the difference between bonus cash and EVA?
EVA is only available to GM employees, retirees and their eligible family members. Bonus cash is separate from EVA and may extend to other programs.
Can I combine EVA with other offers?
Yes, you can combine EVA with your Preferred Pricing, most current incentives and available bonus cash
Do EVA amounts vary by dealer?
No, EVA amounts took effect nationally and do not vary by dealer
Which vehicles are eligible for EVA?
EVA is available on nearly every new and unused 2012 and 2013 GM passenger car, SUV, crossover and light-duty truck. From time to time, certain vehicles will not get EVA. The EVA amount varies on eligible vehicles
Are family members eligible for EVA?
Yes, eligible GM employees, retirees and their spouse, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, grandparents (including in-law and step), parents, stepparents, siblings (including full, half and step), mother-/father-in-law, sons-/daughters-in-law, brothers-/sisters-in-law and same-sex domestic partners (SSDPs) where applicable are eligible to receive EVA. (Note: Eligible SSDPs are treated the same as spouses, and therefore, their eligible family members are also included.)
What is the difference between Preferred Pricing and Supplier for Friends?
Preferred Pricing and Supplier for Friends pricing share the same formula price; however, Supplier for Friends is not compatible with EVA.
Can I see Preferred Pricing on the dealer invoice?
Yes. Preferred Pricing will appear as PREFER on the dealer invoices. However, EVA amounts are not included. In order to view the current EVA amounts, please visit gmfamilyfirst.com
Does Preferred Pricing affect QRD (formerly known as PEP)?
No, QRD pricing will remain the same. EVA is not compatible with QRD pricing. However, you may continue to combine QRD pricing with most current incentives and available bonus cash.

What is the best way to get a new vehicle authorization number?
After logging on to the home page, select "New Vehicle Purchase" from the navigation bar on the left. Then click "Obtain Authorization." The online process is quick and convenient for you, and it costs the company much less than the phone process

Click on the "Contact Us" link on the blue navigation bar, then click on your concern, and we will be happy to assist you. Or call the automated phone system at 1.800.235.4646.
I forgot my username. How can I retrieve it?
Click on the "I've forgotten my username" link on the login page and you will be prompted for your First Name, Last Name, ZIP Code and Date of Birth. After the system has validated your information, you will be prompted to enter the answer to the secret question you selected during registration. After you provide the correct answer, your username will appear and you will be prompted to enter your password
I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it?
Click on the "I've forgotten my password" link on the login page and you will be prompted for your username. Once the system has validated a correct username, you will be prompted to enter the answer to the secret question you selected during registration. After you provide the correct answer, you will be prompted to reset your password.
Where can I find program eligibility information?
Once you've logged in, the programs you are eligible for will be displayed on the left-hand navigation bar. To find out whom you can refer, click on the Rules and Guidelines contained within each program link
How can I change my profile (email address/phone number/address)?
In order to update your profile, log in and then click on the "My Profile" link located on the left-hand navigation bar. Your profile will then be displayed on the page. You can make changes to your email address or phone number. For active employees, any other changes can be made by contacting your HR department or, if you have access to MySocrates, by selecting "Services Home Address Update." Retirees and surviving spouses should contact the GM Benefits and Services Center at 1.800.489.4646 with address changes
redirected to the standard home page. What is the problem?
This may occur if you are using Internet Explorer version 6 (IE6). By default, IE6 thinks that the employee version of the gm.com site is an outside site and doesn't store the appropriate "cookie" on your hard drive. This results in redirection to the standard webpage. You can resolve the problem by following the steps below:
- In the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy Tab and hit the Advanced button.
- Put check marks in the "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" and "Allow Session Cookies" boxes.
- Restart IE6. The next time you try to link to employee pricing, your desired screens should appear
How do I obtain an authorization number for eligible family members?
After logging in, select "New Vehicle Purchase" from the bar on the left. Click "Obtain Authorization." Then follow the prompts. Enter your family member's date of birth, ZIP Code and his or her relationship to you. After confirming the information you entered, you will immediately receive the authorization number, which you can give to your family member.
Can my family members request an authorization number?
No. Only GM employees, retirees and surviving spouses of eligible participants are permitted to request an authorization number to purchase or lease an eligible, new GM vehicle.
Can my family members access gmfamilyfirst.com?
Yes. Your family members can use the "Start Shopping" or "Get Answers" tabs on the gmfamilyfirst.com home page to find vehicle pricing, regional incentives, vehicle eligibility and more. However, they cannot request an authorization number. The employee must obtain an authorization number when a family member is ready to buy
How many GM New Vehicle Purchase Program authorization numbers can I use or share for the calendar year?
You can obtain authorization numbers for the purchase or lease of a total of six (6) vehicles for you and your eligible family members per year
How do I find pricing information?
Log in at gmfamilyfirst.com and choose "New Vehicle Purchase" and then "Pricing" from the left navigation bar. This will take you to a page containing two options: price schedules for pricing options on GM vehicles and a special link to gm.com, where you can build a vehicle to your exact specifications. Both options allow you to compare MSRP with Preferred Pricing and EVA
Do I have to purchase or lease through Ally?
No. You can purchase or lease through any financial institution
Under the GM New Vehicle Purchase Program, why are there restrictions on certain models?
General Motors may authorize restrictions on certain models for production purposes. When new models are introduced, GM attempts to build an inventory to provide for all consumers. The restrictions may be lifted once production of the vehicle is in full operation. Please check What Vehicles Are Eligible under the "Get Answers" tab to view current restrictions.
Which GM vehicles are eligible for the employee discount program?
Almost every new and unused 2012 and 2013 GM passenger car, SUV, crossover and light-duty truck is eligible. To see a list of excluded vehicles, please go to the "Get Answers" tab on the gmfamilyfirst.com home page and select What Vehicles Are Eligible. Some other models may have limited availability. Eligibility of GM vehicles may change at any time without notice.

an I share Preferred Pricing or the GM Supplier Discount for Friends with government employees?
Individuals who are employed by a government organization may not be eligible to participate due to relevant government rules. Consult General Motors Policy: PPC-06 SALE, DONATION OR COURTESY LOAN OF VEHICLES TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/ENTITIES
What is the policy for misuse?
Authorization numbers may not be sold or bartered. This program is subject to audit and verification, and misuse will result in sanctions against the GM employee. Violations of these program rules and guidelines by any purchaser may result in sanctions against the eligible participant. Sanctions may include, but are not limited to, the loss of privileges, repayment of monies and/or employment action, up to and including the termination of employment. In addition, legal action may be commenced for violation of program rules
Can my family member combine this authorization number with current incentives?
In most cases, yes. Have your eligible family member visit a GM Dealer or gmfamilyfirst.com for details on eligible incentives.
ow many vehicles is my family member eligible to purchase/lease?
The participant may purchase or lease one eligible vehicle per authorization number.
Can I combine my GM Card Earnings with my GM New Vehicle Purchase Program/GMS discount?
Earnings from the GM Extended Family Card (1.800.419.6698) or GM Business Card (1.800.446.5347) may be combined with the employee discount. The GM Extended Family Card is a credit card designed exclusively for members of the GM Family who are eligible for the GM New Vehicle Purchase Program Discount — including employees, retirees, their family members, suppliers and dealers. It offers a full 1% Earnings on all credit card purchases, which can be combined with your GM vehicle discount for even greater rewards. GM Extended Family Card Earnings can be redeemed toward an eligible, new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. With the GM Extended Family Card, you also have the option to redeem your Earnings for cash* if you decide you are not in the market for a new vehicle.
